Human rights organizations BIHR and JusticeMakers Bangladesh have expressed extreme concern and protest over the order not to take classes to a homosexual teacher of Savar Model College.

BIHR and JusticeMakers Bangladesh believe that because of being a teacher of  homosexual nature, refrain him from taking classes is a clear violation of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, due to students protest patronized by the homophobic people.

On 28 and 29 August 2022, the news published in various electronic and print media revealed that the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) has ordered Ramzan Ali, a homosexual teacher, to refrain from taking classes due to continued students' agitation in Savar Model College.

JusticeMakers gravely concerns over the recent killing of trans woman in Dhaka

Bangladeshi human rights organisation JusticeMakers has expressed gravely concern over the recent killing of trans woman in Dhaka. It also urges to the government of Bangladesh to arrest all the culprits who were involved with the brutal murder of transgender woman and bring the culprits before the book and give exemplary punishment after quick and impartial investigation.

According to the news published on different newspaper that Maksudur Rahman Diana, a transgender woman’s body was recovered from a room inside a single-storey house in Golap Bagh of Wari in the capital on August 27 afternoon.

আইনজীবীর নেতৃত্বে বিকাশ-নগদ প্রতারণা, অবশেষে গ্রেফতার

বিকাশ ও নগদের মাধ্যমে ডিজিটাল প্রতারণার পেছনে একটি সংঘবদ্ধ চক্র দীর্ঘদিন ধরে কাজ করে আসছে। রাজবাড়ীতে আইনজীবী তুষার কান্তি সরকারের নেতৃত্বে একটি চক্র বিভিন্ন মানুষের নম্বরে কল করে প্রতারণার মাধ্যমে ওটিপি সংগ্রহ করে বিকাশ ও নগদের অ্যাকাউন্ট হ্যাক করে অর্থ আত্মসাৎ করে আসছিল। অবশেষে এ চক্রের হোতা তুষারকে গ্রেফতার করেছে জেলা গোয়েন্দা শাখার (ডিবি) পুলিশ।

চাঁদাবাজির অভিযোগে উত্তরায় ৪ হিজড়া গ্রেপ্তার

রাজধানীর উত্তরায় চাঁদাবাজির অভিযোগে ৪ হিজড়াকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। আজ রোববার সকালে ঢাকা উত্তরা পশ্চিম থানার ৯ নং সেক্টর থেকে তাদের আটক করা হয়। তারা হলেন- আলো (২৮), শারমীন (২৩), মিম (৩০) ও রুমা (২৫)। উত্তরা পশ্চিম থানার ওসি মোহাম্মদ মহসীন দ্য ডেইলি স্টারকে এসব তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন।

গাজীপুরে হিজড়া বানানোর সিন্ডিকেট!

গত ১০ বছর আগেও সমাজের সবার মতো স্বাভাবিক জীবনযাপন করতেন আসাদুল। তার মধ্যে ছিল মেয়েলি ভাব।

তখন তিনি আশুলিয়ায় একটি গার্মেন্টসে চাকরি করতেন। হঠাৎ হিজড়াদের প্রলোভনে সার্জারি করে ছেলে থেকে হিজড়া বানানো হয় আসাদুলকে। লিঙ্গ পরিবর্তনের মাধ্যমে আসাদুল হয়ে যান টাপুর (৩০)।
টাঙ্গাইলের মধুপুর থানা এলাকার আসাদুল ওরফে টাপুর এভাবেই তার হিজড়া হওয়ার গল্প বলেন। তিনি এখন স্বাভাবিক জীবনে ফিরতে চান।  

আধিপত্য বিস্তারকে কেন্দ্র করে হিজড়াদের সংঘর্ষ : ৫ হিজড়া হাসপাতালে

রাজবাড়ীর বালিয়াকান্দিতে হিজড়াদের মধ্যে আধিপত্য বিস্তারকে কেন্দ্র করে হামলায় পাঁচজন আহত হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার বালিয়াকান্দির তালতলা গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। আহত পাঁচ হিজড়া কালুখালী উপজেলার বাসিন্দা।

হামলার শিকারে জখম অবস্থায় তাদেরকে কালুখালী স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি হয়েছে। আহতরা হলেন সুমি আক্তার (২৬), গোলাপ (২৫), শিখা (২১), টুম্পা (১৫), গঙ্গা (১৭)। এ ব্যাপারে থানায় এজাহার করা হয়েছে।
